What is the difference between being pansexual and panromantic? I've fallen in love with someone who is transgender, but I am also attracted to him sexually. Does this mean I am both, or I am just pansexual? I don't know the difference..by Anonymous
The difference between pansexual and panromantic is that pansexual is a sexual orientation and panromantic is a romantic orientation.
If they’re a trans man, this has nothing to do with pansexual v other orientations, really… If you find people of all sexes/genders sexually attractive, pansexual is a word that fits you. If you have romantic, relationship-wanting feelings for people of all sexes/genders, panromantic is a word that fits you.
If you love a trans man, that’s not different to loving a cis man, in terms of orientation labels.
I've identified as bisexual for as long as I can remember, but recently I came across the term "pansexual." I am attracted to trans* men and trans* women, but I still identify as bisexual. Does this make sense? I don't even know if this is a question anymore, more like, "I like guys and I like girls, just because they're trans* guys and girls doesn't mean they aren't guys and girls, so I can still identify as bi, right?"by neptunium
Yes, trans men and cis men are men, trans women and cis women are women, being attracted to binary trans people is no different than being attracted to cis people, so there’s no need to change your terminology.
Plus, there are many bisexual people who are attracted to non-binary etc people, pansexual is just a way of being clear about it.
I need some help, and I was hoping y'all could help. I'm attracted, romantically,to all genders, but am only attracted, sexually, to females. I'm a genderfuild person,so...what would this make me? I'm so confused about this.by Anonymous
Panromantic gynesexual might work, or hetero/homosexual depending on your gender at the time if those work.
Do you happen to know of any Panromantic blogs? I've found some Pansexual blogs, but those don't really apply to me since I am demisexual...
Sorry, I’ve not seen any panromantic tumblrs. I try to include panromantic people as best I can, and I suppose you have the option to make one (if you have time, and want to, of course).
Hi! So for a little while I have been curious about my sexuality. I'm a girl, and I've only ever been with one guy so far, and I love him more than anything! I love him as a person. He is my soul mate. I love him so much that I wouldn't even care if I found out he wasn't a guy. I'm just so attached to who he is as a person. Does this make me pansexual?by Anonymous
Sweet :) Are you attracted to anyone else? Would you be attracted to other people of other genders? Sexuality isn’t always black and white, and you should pick a label that explains how you feel.
Hey! We wanted to let you know that we loved your blog and included it in our recommended blogs section. We also figured we'd introduce ourselves: Spectra is a new journal of writing, academia, art, & information funded by Montreal's Queer Concordia with a focus on equality, inclusivity, intersectionality, & oppression awareness. Anyway, we’re currently looking for submissions so feel free to share this opportunity with your networks if you’d like - and thanks for running such an awesome tumblr!
Hi :) Thank you!
Looks like a great tumblr, check it out.
hi ^3^ i was wondering if pansexuals have a way of identifiying themselves like asexuals who wear a black ring or s/tby Anonymous
I haven’t heard of asexuals wearing black rings, but I think wearing a pan flag item (like a badge or jewellery) would identify you a pansexual. Anyone else have any ideas?
Please, can you help me? My mom has the term Pansexuality stuck in her head as that you can be apart of Necrophilia, Pedophilia, and Beastality/Zoophilia. And, she keeps saying things, and telling me "Call yourself bisexual or lesbian(because I am currently dating a girl)", and, this has gotten me far into depression. It's made me think "Oh she doesnt care about me" "She doesnt accept me". So please, what is the correct definition with a viable source so she can believe? Thank you < 3
Sorry for such a late reply. Hopefully she will believe Wikipedia:
I found your terminology post (very interesting by the way) while I was looking for a word that describes cis/trans in the same way as gender describes man/woman and sex describes male/female. So a trans man and a cis man both have the same gender but they have different ...<and here is the word I don't know> Do you know what the overarching term is called?
If I understand your question correctly, I don’t think there’s a word for that, but there is a phrase, cis-trans status. Is that what you mean?
